Waste Time Modding Premium Bananas!

Being the healthy folk that we are, we consume a lot of bananas (good source of potassium, you know!)

However, we end up with so many of those banana-company stickers. Each one just begging to be re-stuck somewhere!

So we’ve come up with some games that the kids might enjoy…

Gute Fahrt!

When you first learn the German language, or when you move to Germany or Austria or Switzerland, certain expressions will cause you to pause.

One well-intentioned phrase is sure to make you giggle.

When you are about to embark on a journey, your friendly Austrian or German or Swiss neighbor will wish you “bon voyage”, or “have a nice trip” in their own special way…

The Cars Greatest Hits Mod

So who remembers the classic “album” The Cars Greatest Hits?

Yup, lots of good songs on that one, plus the cover is kind of cool too. Although I felt a little sorry for that poor banged-up Chevelle.

Anyway, in this age of mass production and one-size-fits-all, I was feeling the need for a little individuality. The Cars needed to be customized…

A short time later, I played with designing a logo for Wanderkind. What follows is a visual and textual account of the Wanderkind name, and my attempt at designing some logos to present it. Hope you enjoy!

The Origin of Microbrews…?

I have a theory about the origins of the microbrew craze that took off in the ’90s.

And like all confused, equally left-brained-right-brained people like myself, I know that I should support my theory with carefully researched facts, figures and arguments.

But I really just want to write something amusing, and show you some doodles.

So here goes…

Bier Her, Du Hundling!

So you’re headed to the big Oktoberfest this year, eh? Even if you can’t make to Munich, there’s bound to be a local version, right?

And perhaps you’re not sure about springing for the full regalia, or trachten–traditional Bavarian clothing.

Well why not show up in an appropriately themed T-shirt? Continue Reading… »
