USA Bahn Design: Americans in Germany

I’ve lived in Munich, Germany for over five years. And I must say, it is a privilege to be able to live in Germany, and Munich is one of the nicest, most livable places on Earth.

But for some reason, living in a foreign country triggers the odd feeling of patriotism from time to time. Lots of ex-pats have told me that they have the same feelings. It’s probably just some form of home-sickness.

That’s Just What the Doctor Ordered

A few years ago, I made a year-long comic tribute to those precious sayings that my Dear Old Dad utters on a regular basis.

I drew one “Dadism” per week and e-mailed a scanned image from my home in Munich to his office in Tacoma, Washington, USA.

I’m not sure if he enjoyed the weekly artwork or was tormented by the reminders. Dad claims that many of the sayings “aren’t his fault” and have been handed down through the generations.

Test-driving Prismacolor Premier Markers

A few months ago, I went out and bought a really nice 24-piece set of Berol Prismacolor Premier Markers. After staring at/admiring their sheer coolness for twenty minutes, I decided to take them for a test-drive, by creating a mega-doodle.
