Burger Meister? What?

We were staying at friends’ flat in Munich a few months ago, and their boy just loves baggers! He’s always going on about the bagger meister this, the bagger meister that…

In German, a bagger is a front loader or excavator; i.e. one of those big yellow pieces of equipment you see at a construction site. The bagger meister, is the dude who drives the bagger.

Spying the boy’s collection of colored pencils, it suddenly became obvious as to what form “Thank You” note would take:

It’s always fun to draw with constraints. In this case, the paper is nothing special. The colored pencils were fairly soft and easy to work with, but a bit on the crayola side. I couldn’t find the sharpener, so I had to keep alternating between coloring large swaths to form a point, then use the point for some details, then back to sharpening via filling…

All in all, not a bad way to spend the morning. I hope our little friend likes his bagger!
